Wild East Women Interview Series

Wild East Women (WEW) is an affinity group working under the umbrella of the Appalachian Trail Conservancy (ATC) to support women and their allies in engaging with trails and outdoor spaces in meaningful ways. We are excited to feature interviews with women who are involved with the A.T. and public lands in a multitude of ways, provide tips and strategies for outdoor adventures, and most of all, help YOU to get involved with hikes and stewardship events. We can't wait to be a part of this community with you!

Women's Stewardship & Trail Maintenance Events:

Wild East Women is seeking individuals or organizations who might be interested in hosting an event that inspires women and their allies to engage with public lands and trails as adventurers, stewards, and leaders. Previous events have included virtual film screenings, workshops, and a variety of trail maintenance work trips. These events are focused on bringing together people who identify as female and their allies in a supportive, non-judgmental environment to learn about the joys of nature and giving back to the outdoors.

Hosting a WEW event would require sharing event details with the WEW group by completing this form. The event would then be promoted via the WEW network as a WEW event (with you/your organization as the host!) and it would welcome all women and their allies to join.
